The staff is very caring and they try to create a family atmosphere. There are a myriad of activities from social, physical, educational and spiritual. The food is well prepared and there is a wide variety. The dining room is beautiful. The residents are very friendly and work to assimilate new people. These comments are about independent living. We chose Westminster because we can transition from one level of care to the next.
The assistant living building doesn't have a kitchen, so their food is prepared across the street and then they have to order what they want the day before. So that is a bit of an issue. Other than that all is good.
Westminster St. Augustine is a great Continuum Care Location that offered both entrance fees and Rentals! They were super attentive to detail and warm welcoming when bringing in one of my loved ones. The services provided in both the Skilled Nursing and in Assisted Living were spot on, the moment my grandmother needed something they were right there to help! Our first impression of Westminster of St. Augustine was very positive because of the beautiful fountain in front of the entrance and the surrounding rose garden. I later learned that both were donations from one of the residents in memory of his spouse. My wife and I were given a tour of the facilities including the health center followed by a delicious lunch in the main dining room. The grounds were very well cared for and the views from every location were wonderful. The main clubhouse was very appealing and welcoming. We enjoyed an excellent lunch and the people from Westminster that we met could not have been more pleasant and offered very honest and frank answers to our questions. We saw both apartment and villa units and both were spacious, bright and cheery.
We're getting emerged into a very healthy and active lifestyle here given the 1 plus month we've been here. Very very clean have biweekly housekeeping and excellent maintenance support on our home to keep it looking great, (very, very, very friendly, neighbors visited us with welcome gifts and we take part on weekends with resident get togethers to get to know each other on our specific street where we live). This was a beautiful community. It was bigger and more resort style with a golf feel.
Very positive experience, would definitely recommend to friends or families looking for Assisted Living care.
The staff members here and the residents are extremely friendly that is one thing I love most about Westminster. Based on my experience so far I would absolutely recommend this community to other families.
